Level 2
This level crosses into basic music theory concepts, technique, and applying more rhythm. As always, there’s tons of examples to help absorb this newfound knowledge, as well as songs you may know!

Level 3 contains furthering rhythmic knowledge and introducing one of the most important concepts on the bass guitar…arpeggios. It also introduces two series throughout out the Step By Step system, Bass Line Creation and Ear Training.

Level 4
Time for scales! The major and minor scale rule so much of music. Not only will you learn how to play them, but the connection and learning the “why” behind these notes. In addition, we’ll talk about shifting, more rhythmic concepts, evolving bass line creation, ear training, as well as another tuning.

Level 5
Level 5 evolves chord knowledge furthermore with the seventh chord. Specifically the dominant chord, this chord is common in the genre of blues, which we will study extensively and learn about the 12 Bar Blues. We will also learn about the scale associated with the dominant chord, the mixolydian scale common bass lines to outline these concepts.

Level 6
Level 6 will dive into more seventh chord knowledge with the Major and Minor 7th chords. It will also introduce Diminished triads in addition to containing a new lesson from the Rhythm, and Ear Training series.

Level 7 is going to evolve and clear up how seventh chords work diatonically. We’ll extract one of the most important parts of a being good bassist with pocket and feel. And the most playable scale of all time will be covered in great detail, the pentatonics. Let’s go!
